PRODUCTION RIDER
1. Purchaser to provide the following:
A. One high quality lectern/podium with adjustable microphone & light.
B. First class sound system with CD player and operator.
C. Stage should be centered directly in front of audience.
D. There should not be a dance floor between the audience
and the stage.
E. Please position tables and/or chairs as close to stage as possible.
F. Spotlight and operator and/or a full stage wash appropriate for venue.
G. A spotlight is highly recommended for Artist's entrance
for larger audiences.
2. Artist will provide a "Hail to the Chief" music CD for entrance and exit music.
3. Introduction: "Ladies and gentlemen, a very special guest has taken time out of his hectic schedule to be with us and we are truly honored. Please welcome our special guest." NOTE: Please do not mention Washington, White House, Air Force One or anything political; it will telegraph the hoax, lessening the impact of Artist's entrance.
4. Sound operator to begin playing "Hail to the Chief" nice and loud immediately after introduction. As Artist reaches lectern/podium sound operator slowly turns volume off. Replay "Hail to the Chief" immediately upon conclusion of performance and until Artist exits room.
5. Be sure to check microphone (volume) and lectern height, since Mr. President (Height 6") will not be able to enter the room or theater prior to his performance. The sound system should be nice & loud with an operator on duty to make adjustments during the performance, if necessary and to cue audio tapes.
6. Surprise is the most effective way to introduce Mr. President. Audiences are most vulnerable when taken completely off guard. Let as few people in your organization or audience know about Mr. President's appearance as possible.
7. A simple way to get a presidential looking photo is to provide a blue draped background with a lectern and American Flag. Lighting is important, consult your photographer.
